Daniel J. Arnett
Host/Business Director
Daniel (Dan) Arnett is one of the hosts of the Non-Billable Hour. He is the podcast’s elder statesman, keeping Beth and Joe on task and making sure they get to the point, and providing “nuggets” of legal wisdom every week. He also brings his unique perspective on life and the practice of law, shaped by his childhood as a farm boy and then moving to the big city to pursue law school.
In all seriousness, through this podcast, Dan wants to inspire listeners to make positive changes in their lives by reflecting on their mental health and overall well-being. About 15 years ago, Dan realized that the high-stress lifestyle he was living wasn't sustainable. He began focusing on meditation, mindfulness, and personal growth, diving into an extensive list of books that helped him understand himself better. His journey continued as he became a certified life coach, aiming to share his knowledge and perspective with others. He believes that increased self-awareness and mindfulness can lead to a more fulfilling life. Dan hopes to help busy professionals, especially those in the legal field, find better ways to manage their stress and improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, you can find Dan golfing, meditating, riding his Harley Davidson, playing the drums, or spending ample time with his wife and four children. He also can rock a mean quarter-zip pullover or t-shirt from one of many bands he enjoys.
Oh, and did we mention that Dan is a seasoned civil defense litigator? He has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years, and in 2013, he turned his experience into Arnett Law Group, where he is a partner. Here, he serves as general counsel and handles a variety of litigation-focused practice areas.
